Welcome to Courtland. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to the following terms. These terms reflect how Courtland operates based on our product and business model: multi-tenant sports venue bookings, venue admin tools, payments (Stripe and wallet), cancellations, and user accounts.

1. Account and Eligibility

You must create an account to book courts or manage venues. Account types include app users, venue admins, and super admins. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Platform Scope

Courtland connects players with venues. We provide discovery, availability, and booking flows for courts, alongside venue management tools for operators. Courtland is not the provider of the sports services; each venue is solely responsible for its facilities, rules, and on-site operations.

3. Bookings and Availability

  • Booking requests are subject to venue availability and confirmation. Availability calculations may consider operating hours, existing bookings, and venue policies.
  • You must review booking details (date, time, court, price) before confirming. Courtland is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by venues or users.
  • Some venues may offer peak pricing, promotional codes, or free reservation slots based on their policies.

4. Payments and Wallet

  • Payments may be made via Stripe (card), in-person methods at the venue (if available), and the Courtland in-app wallet. Split payments may be supported where enabled by a venue.
  • Wallet balances are denominated in the venue’s operating currency and must remain non-negative. Promotional credits, refunds, penalties, and adjustments may appear as wallet transactions.
  • For Stripe payments, you authorize Courtland and/or the venue to create and confirm payment intents for the relevant amount. Card processing is handled by Stripe subject to Stripe’s terms.
  • Pricing displayed is set by venues. Courtland may show estimated totals; final charges can vary according to venue policies, taxes, and promotions.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellation policies are determined by venues and may include deadlines and fees (percentage or fixed amounts). If a cancellation fee applies, it may be deducted from your wallet or processed via Stripe.
  • Refund eligibility and method (wallet refund, Stripe refund) depend on the venue’s policies and the payment method used. Free reservation slots may not be eligible for refunds.
  • No-shows or late cancellations may incur penalties per venue rules.

6. Venue Responsibilities

Venues are responsible for maintaining accurate listings, setting pricing, enforcing policies, and providing the services booked. Courtland may facilitate communication, but disputes regarding facility quality, on-site safety, and conduct are primarily between users and venues.

7. User Conduct

  • Respect venue rules, staff, and other players.
  • Do not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with bookings.
  • Provide accurate information and promptly address payment issues.

8. Content and Feedback

You may submit reviews, images, or feedback. By doing so, you grant Courtland a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute that content for service improvement and marketing, subject to applicable laws and our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Liability

  • Courtland provides the platform “as is” and disclaims warranties to the extent permitted by law.
  • To the maximum extent permitted, Courtland is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes between users and venues.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via the platform. Continued use signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.
